In response to popular demand, the Magic & Mystery School is now offering seven-day Master Classes.  This means there will be more time with Jeff and Eugene, as well as special teaching units from world-leading teachers of magic. The seven-day class also includes a ticket for a major Las Vegas magic show, such as Mac King, and relaxed time for questions with the star.  There will also be two events to which you may bring a guest or family member.

The Magic and Meaning Conference 2012: Over 20 Years of the World’s Most Progressive Magic Events

The Magic and Meaning Conference is a distinctive, annual small-group conference that focuses on creating meaningful magic routines, effective scripts, and new venues for performance. If you love magic, storytelling, motivational speaking, the philosophy of magic, or want to learn more about it this is the place to be!

The 2012 conference will include presentations and performances by the Magic & Mystery School faculty: Jeff McBride, Eugene Burger, Robert E. Neale, Larry Hass, Bryce Kuhlman, Tobias Beckwith and George Parker.  Also, the Conference will feature a large number of presentations and performances by Conference attendees. In addition to the Conference itself, participants are also invited to attend Jeff McBride’s WONDERGROUND and two of the Las Vegas Magickal community's annual events:  THE LAS VEGAS WITCHES AND WIZARDS BALL and BONE DANCE -- an evening of storytelling, drumming, and dancing around a sacred fire circle in the Nevada desert!

This four-day event is specially designed for physicians and other health care providers, including nurses, therapists, and alternative medicine practitioners.

Taught by Jeff McBride and Eugene Burger, two of the world’s leading magicians, Ricardo Rosenkranz, M. D., and Lawrence Hass, Ph.D., the course will cover many areas of theoretical interest, such as the history of the relationship between magic and medicine, the importance of ritual, and the place of magical art in human life. However, the primary focus of the educational experience is on practice—on how the powerful skills of performance magicians can enhance the interactions between providers and patients, and thus yield better outcomes in healing relationships.

It is not necessary to be a performer to attend this learning experience, and no one will be required to perform. Even so, attendees will learn some magic in the course of the long weekend, and attendees who are already performers may, if they wish, perform a piece in one of the informal shows. Performance is always by choice.

Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine designates this material for a maximum of X AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM.

From September 16-25, 2013, 9 performers will attend a very special, “First Class Career Enhancement" session at the McBride Magic & Mystery School in Las Vegas.  The 9 days are guaranteed to challenge you.  You will perform and receive advice from our entire staff, working one on one with you, on how to make your performance better in every respect, but especially how to make it better fit the chosen market in which you wish to sell it.

You will learn – by doing the actual work – how to form a business entity, how to set up your financial systems, how to choose and define your market, how to build the strongest possible team without huge expenditures of cash. You will learn the importance of establishing relationships that will help you build your business and career, and will learn how to maintain them effectively.

You will also learn the basic principles of both advertising and public relations, and how best to make these powerful tools work for you over time.

You will hear talks by Richard Faverty, the photographer whose work has been seen on more MAGIC magazine covers – and in more PR posters and press kits – than any other photographer in the world of magic and variety performance.  In addition, you will actually have your own photo shoot with Richard, included at no extra charge as part of your session.

While in Las Vegas, you may have a chance to perform (a Las Vegas credit) at Jeff McBride’s Wonderground, and receive feedback from the faculty on your performance.

Magic and Medicine

In this four day event, experts will lead the participants through exercises that will transform their practices and themselves.
